Novi Reandy Sasmita has been awarded two consecutive research grants from the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK), solidifying a strong track record in diverse and impactful research. In 2024, he received support under the Expert Research Assistance (PAA) scheme for the EQUITY program for his work titled, “A Comparative Analysis of Interpolation Methods and Difference Tests in Handling Missing Time Series Data.” This project addresses a critical methodological challenge, using climate data from North Aceh Regency as a practical case study. Building on this success, he secured a second grant in 2025 for a ambitious public health initiative. His new research, “An SVE3I3R Stochastic Epidemiology Model to Predict and Evaluate the Elimination of Tuberculosis in Indonesia by 2030,” aims to develop a sophisticated predictive tool to aid in the nation's fight against Tuberculosis.
Under the guidance of Novi Reandy Sasmita, the research team received funding support from the Directorate General of Higher Education through the Student Creativity Programme 2024. The research "Integration of Machine Learning and Time Series Analysis for Upwelling Prediction Dashboard in Fresh Sea Lake: Based on Rainfall Forecasting" uses a semi-supervised method to classify upwelling potential.
